Be sure you did match your part number As long as you do this, the TIPM is ready to configure to your vehicle. Perform the following steps to configure the TIPM to your vehicle:
Disconnect battery from vehicle. Remove your original TIPM and verify you purchased the correct part number. Do not worry about the letters, only the number. If a match, tie both battery cables together “away from the battery” while you are installing the new TIPM (roughly 20 minutes). This will erase all stored codes something that needs to happen during the configuration process. If it is not a match “do not” move forward with the install, contact us.
Install TIPM. Make sure your fuse/relay set-up is identical to the original. Check to make sure all fuses are pushed in tight. We do this but just double check us.
Connect battery to vehicle
Turn key to ON position only (do not start vehicle) for 120 seconds, then turn off. If you have a “push button” start vehicle that also has a key slot, use the key slot, not the push button.
Start vehicle and please confirm all electrical features are working properly
If you run into any issues please hook up an oem level scan tool to your OBD and pull the codes from the TIPM. You’ll also need to verify your VIN is in the replacement TIPM. Once you have this info, reach out to us. A code reader cannot read the TIPM, only an oem level scan tool. Make sure to check your ground points for any corroded or broken wires. Also, if you are having A/C issues after install please make sure fuses J15 and K9 are not popped and are pushed in. If you run into a B2206 disconnect the battery then reconnect the battery then cycle the ignition switch from off to the on position at least 5 times, leaving the ignition on for a minimum of 90 seconds per cycle.
If you are having issues, prior to contacting us, please attempt these steps,
